We are part of one big family

First and foremost, I am very grateful that I came to serve my mission is St.George Utah. The missionary work here is amazing. The members are a great support, the people we meet are either Anti-Mormon or have never heard about it or have heard it all an don't want anything to do with it. I love it down here.
I would like to share two amazing experiences I had this week.

This week one of My investigator got baptized in Santa Clara Heights.
My companion Sister D and I found him when we were tracting. The first time he met us he said that we can try so many other missionaries have tried in the past. So we told him that we had hope that he can get baptized. We needed permission from the first presidency for him to be baptized. So we started teaching him and preparing him so that our Mission President can interview him and send a request to the first presidency. So what happen was that he was struggling with the word of wisdom by the time that we were done teaching him. Sister D was transferred  out of the Area and Sister G and I called him everyday at 6:30am. We reminded him of his goals for the day and shared a short spiritual thought. We did that for almost 2 months and you know every week he will do so good for some days and then fell back behind. So we kept trying everyday with him and my last week in the Area he was successful. The following week he got interviewed by my mission President and he got permission to be baptized this weekend. I went to his baptism and As he was being baptized I felt so much Joy! There is a scripture in D&C 18: 14-16 that talks about bringing souls unto Christ and our Joy been great with that person. I know that when he was baptized I felt that joy and I can't even Image the Joy I will feel when I see again in heaven. I am so blessed to know him because he is one of the most humble people that I know in my life. Teaching him was an amazing experience and I learned that if we believe long enough and not give up on anyone, just hope and have enough faith in the process we will see miracle. I have know J for almost 6 months now and he finally got baptized. Everything we did we him pray, stop by twice a week it was all worth it and I Remember that if I just believed long enough it will happen and he did get baptized and I am grateful that I was there to see him from the beginning to the end. At first we saw it in his eyes that he lost hoped but Heavenly Father never gives up on anyone so we were consistent with him. When he was baptized yesterday his father in law said " are you one of the missionaries who brought him back home and I said Yes " at first I didn't really think anything of it but the senior couple in that area talked about it and I realized how we all play a huge roll in bringing our brothers as sisters back home. We are but one big family let us help one another come back home. I am grateful for the gospel and it's teachings and how it strengthens people's lives and changes them for the better.

I don't know if all of you know this but as Visitor center Sister we get an opportunity to teach people online and one day, I was teaching online and I picked up a phone call from mormon.org and I said thanks for calling mormon.org this is Nyenti how can I help you? The lady replied and said that this is "I" and I want to be baptized ! She said can I get baptized this week or next week as soon as possible. So we went into details and she told me she has being baptized more 4 times in the past. So we talked about the church and helped her understand the importance of baptism. She lives in New York so I Was able to send her referral to the local missionaries in her area. The missionaries started teaching her and we would Skype into her lessons and her teach with them and call her from time to time and send her scriptures. We helped her to understand the importance of the priesthood here on earth and how It was necessary for baptism. Little by little she progressed and gain a testimony of the things we taught her.  It was great collaborating with the missionaries over there in the east coast. We helped her gain a testimony of the Book of Mormon and helped her come closer to the Savior and she was baptized this week also.I Skype in to watch her get baptized and it was amazing.  If any of you have mormon.org pass along card give them a way they work! Ist is a result of it.

Also I don't remeber if I shared this already but I will like to share it again. We had a book of Mormon challenge and we had to read the book of Mormon in 68 days! Also we had to highlight all the references to Jesus Christ in it. I read the book of Mormon in french for the first time ever in my pife and I was able to do so in 68 days. I was amazed, because at first I thought maybe through it I would have gone back and read it in English but I didn't I understood it. On the mission the gift of tongues is real!. So what i wanted to share is that as I was reading Moroni chapter 10, and I came across when Moroni says "Adieu" which means in English until we meet again specifically in heaven. He tells Mormon, that do all you can to make sure that this people learn about this message. As I pondered when I was done with the book I realized that we are our Brother's keepers we were sent here to help each other go back home to our father. Some of us are eyes are open and the others their eyes are not open yet. It is our duty and our responsibility to help one another return home. I though of the story of cain and Abel. When we get back home just like Cain our father is going to ask us " where is our brother/sister " ? I wondered if we are going to SAY are my brothers keeper? Or are they going to be standing next to us when we return home. Please do all that you can in your efforts to share the gospel and what you live everyday and I promise you will find great Joy but keep in mind that the best missionary work starts within the walls of our own  home. Keep living the gospel and love you all and I greatly appreciate your example.
