Blessings and a crazy Utah Holiday

I
ts pioneer day in Utah and I never knew that existed until I came to Utah. People here celebrate it like its the 4th of July, with fireworks, barbecue and celebrations. This morning we went to a Pioneer day breakfast and the primary kids did a little parade and it was cool. Some of them had their pioneer outfits and that reminded me of trek. After Trek I remember being forever grateful for flushing toilets, food, cars, air conditioner , beds,  parfaits.............. I can go on forever with the list. I am happy that my siblings went and they probably learned a lot which makes me a lot happy. My brother said "it changed my life "  I laugh a little when I read it and I was amazed and surprised at the same time. My sister bore her testimony about trek also, they are growing so fast.  I am happy that they are having all those experiences.

This past week had a lot of ups and down it started with a lot of excitement. One of the Highlights was definitely when the W's came and visited me. OOOh I can't believe that Sheila W is engaged. Wow everything is happening so fast, I think the weeks are flying so quickly. Their visit was definitely a tender mercy because honestly that day I needed that. I felt a little homesick but right after that visit it made me feel so much better. Sister W is so funny, I love her. (Sister W if you are reading this, thanks for coming).

Another awesome thing is that our investigator Rachel said she wanted to be Baptized. Her family is amazing and we love them so very much. This is definitely a great blessing from God. We have taught her almost all the lessons. At the beginning of our lessons she said that she did not want to feel pressured into getting baptist and we set a date at the beginning of the second lesson and she said if she was ready that she would get baptized on that day. When the day came she said she was not ready and it was understandable. But she has being going to church since from the first lesson and she loves it.

Another blessing that happened is with our 12 year old investigator Anton. we gave him a lesson in the Visitor center and when he came in he said he didn't not know if Joseph Smith was a Prophet and before he left he got a testimony of it and also he said that the videos we watched about missionaries made him want to go on a mission. He is an awesome kid and he has a lot of desire to follow Jesus Christ. it is amazing to see that in a 12 year old.

Utah is treating me well but it is burning hot in St. George and I am grateful that I only have to be outside half of the day. I can't wait for the winter.  Until Next time Remember to count the little blessings.
