I am staying 6 more weeks with Elder T

Mules Probably the most exciting thing that happened was we went on exchanges with the other Samoan companionship and so of course we ended up having a full conversation with someone in Spanish, he was from Texas and grew up around a lot of Spanish, so we were able to introduce ourselves and ask if it would be alright for missionaries that could speak Spanish better could come by so that was cool. Saturday and Sunday were also super eventful, we started off by being invited to a buffet over in Redlands by our Bishop because is daughter went to the temple in preparation for leaving on her mission on Halloween. Since we had a lesson later that evening with him over in Highlands which is even further outside the zone, we were able to go. The Samoans don't like change and a less active member and a friend we are teaching live over in highland but don't want to go to the Samoan ward that usually covers that area. So we went to that lesson and the person we are teaching sai...

It keeps going !!

Hey Y'all okay so this week was the best!  First we were blessed with the presence of the one and only Elder Ballard! He said some inspiring and amazing things. He was my mission presidents mission president so that was cool for him.  What I personally got out of him coming to our mission was the re-emphasizes of being an example of the believers. And just ask Heavenly Father! He pointed a lot to the Saviors promise of What ever ye shall ask the Father in my name it shall be given unto you. I really loved that so much! It helped to boost me a little bit more through out the week! We also had stake conference and they asked us to bare our testimonies of Christ for 5 minutes each and that was great! When I got to the stance and I looked there were more than 600 people and I said to myself this is great! I didn't prep a lot so I hope I don't freak out! Well the testimony was born and you know since we are in Utah everyone loved it ! Thank Heavens for that and that...

Serving in the YSA

Image
Hey y'all! It has been a little while since I wrote to everyone. Well a little update! I am still serving in the dixie YSA 2nd stake and I am loving it. There is something special working with people your own age who are just trying to figure out their lives and see if the gospel is for them. The miracle of the week is, one of our investigators got a testimony that President Nelson is a prophet. He comes from an FLDS background so our meeting with him have been amazing. Getting a testimony of the priesthood is something that he had a hard time believing especially the fact that President Nelson hold the priesthood. He was raised with a background that is pretty similar to the LDS faith. It is like white and cream and white. So it must be hard for him I imagine to believe I something that is as close as what he was raised with. His name is Merrill and he is such an inspiration to me personally. A way that he gained a testimony that President Nelson is a prophet is by listening ...

Be of Good Cheer

Well transfers are here and I am here to stay. We got transfers and it was crazy, absolutely bonkers!! My French companion is leaving me so no more French speaking for me the whole time. My new companion is coming to be an STL with me and I don't know how I feel about this transfer already. There is so much change and new people are being put into the visitor center.  I fell off my bike and it was terrible and I am still in a walking area. Wow life goes on!!  Well I am still happy about the part where I am a Sister Training leader and I get to go on so many exchanges with the other sisters. It is so much fun! To learn from them and To see how the mission work is going in other areas. I feel like this transfer parallel life in reality. We some time have to go through so much change which is natural to some and they are pretty excited about it but for me I am usually excited about the change that I want to happen. I didn't really want any change this transfer or fall off my ...

Two Weeks

March 5th: This week I am going to try and keep it short and Sweet. So I wanted to start with a story about one of our investigators.  On a Tuesday my companion and I were about to leave for the day and start tracting so we decided that our daily goal for that day was to find a new investigator and put them on date for baptism. So after we set that goal we looked at each other and laughed a little but we said a prayer and although we laughed in our heart that was what we wanted to happen. So went about knocking until 12 noon and literally no one answered and we were disappointed and to make it worst we were walking the whole time so we were pretty exhausted. So we went back to our apartment for lunch and as we were eating lunch we checked our phone and we had some miss calls and a voicemail and a text message from a lady. The lady said she wants us to teach her daughter and that she wants her daughter baptized on the 3rd of March. So I read the text message and we l...

We are part of one big family

First and foremost, I am very grateful that I came to serve my mission is St.George Utah. The missionary work here is amazing. The members are a great support, the people we meet are either Anti-Mormon or have never heard about it or have heard it all an don't want anything to do with it. I love it down here. I would like to share two amazing experiences I had this week.   This week one of My investigator got baptized in Santa Clara Heights.  My companion Sister D and I found him when we were tracting. The first time he met us he said that we can try so many other missionaries have tried in the past. So we told him that we had hope that he can get baptized. We needed permission from the first presidency for him to be baptized. So we started teaching him and preparing him so that our Mission President can interview him and send a request to the first presidency. So what happen was that he was struggling with the word of wisdom by the time that we were done teachi...
