Week in Review

Image
This week flew by too quickly, being a missionary is some thing I am very grateful to be doing with my life right now. I have seen the gospel bless so many people's life in just  6 months that I have been out. We've been given so many tools and we can use it to spread the Lord's work. It says in Doctrine and Covenats 88:73 " Behold I will Hasten my work in its time" There have been so many changes lately on my mission that has helped me to really understand what that scripture means, especially with Facebook. We are able to teach people through it and share messages that can touch the heart of people.  This week, has been a little hard because almost everyone that we had appointments with cancel and so it started making me feel frustrated but on the bright side there were others who kept their appointments. I learned to be patient and to keep in mind that this is the Lord's work and at his timing everything will fall into place. Some time i...

Baptisms by Dad

Image
Wow, How time flies, Tranfers are today and my companion  and I are staying together. Its been six weeks already that we have been together, wow went too fast. Sister D is an awesome missionary and it is a lot of fun training. The part I enjoy the most about training is doing 12 weeks again [ training program for new missionaries I think ], there is so much to learn. The week has been Glorious, it ended with 3 baptisms that  took place saturday the 30th of September. I can't believe it is already October. But it was one of the best Baptism that I have ever attended. The Dad Tommie Got baptised and then confirmed and then ordained and then baptised his wife Rachel and then baptised their daughter Chiara. It was one of the happiest days on my mission. It's a blessing to see a family come closer to the Savior. We had to receive permission from our Mission President and our Stake president in order for that to happen [ for the Dad to baptise his family the same da...

Exciting things are coming

This week is a week of Miracles, there is alot of things happening this coming weekend. Three of my investigators are getting baptised !! Please pray for them. We had exchanges this week also, I left my area for the  day it felt refreshing to be in a new area but weird, because my mjnd always went back  to my area. My mission is getting facebook and smartphones, wow what is mission life coming too, I like it just the way it is right now. Well on the other hand it will be a great opportunity for the gospel to be shared all over the world. We are also going to be using skype go teach online now.  We finished Teaching chiara the lessons and Her mom and her are getting baptized on the 30th by her dad who is getting baptized the same day also.  I feel blessed to be part of this miracle the lord has for this family.  Sorry I have to get going but here is a song the the sisters at the visitor center made about me.  Pictures ..... ...

Knocking on doors is so much Fun

Image
This week had its excitements, It started off really fast and at the end it seems so slow. We had our last P-day on wednesday and maybe that was why it seemed so slow after a couple of days. Also I have had a hard time sleeping, which led to tiredness half of the day. Those days were not fun. On monday My companion and I Sister D Had so much fun knocking on doors. I met someone with hair like mine and it started a really good conversation, which led to him inviting us back to come and teach his brother. Almost everyone we knocked on their door answered and said we could come back. The same thing Happened on Tuesday  and it was so much fun. The Lord always provides.  In our area it is pretty interesting, when I am driving By I can point out those who are members and nonmembers houses  and who is not interested. It is very different from Maryland, because in One neighborhood there is a huge probability that everyone around you is not a member which is p...

Life is Beautiful

Image
This week has been long and short at the same time. Because Monday was labor day the Visitor Center was busy so we had our P-day Today instead. Honestly I am really tired.  The thing I did this week that I enjoyed the most doing was knocking on doors. It was so hot but so much fun. We met a lot of interesting people and half of them were interested in learning more about the gospel.  This week has been filled with meetings about the Visitor center, some conferences and others. I also saw the B Family this week which was awesome. It always puts a smile on my face whenever I meet people from back Home. My Baby Sister D is awesome, we have so much in common it's crazy. Inspiration from the Lord for us be together.  Missionary work is so much fun but also very tiring. Today all we did was sleep and prep our meals for the next week which is pretty nice because, I had so much sugar this week, my body feels like it's been drained out of energy....

A New Baby

Image
This week has been A lot of things happening all at once but today has been a day of rest. This  is my baby Sister D, she is from Mesquite Texas . I am excited to train her but also very nervous. I am nervous because she's the first person I am training and I just got done with training last week it's really weird for me but I love her. We have a lot of things in common which is really nice. I am feeling so  blessed lately, The R Family that my old companion and I were teaching they all want to be baptized on the same day. Which is awesome, I love their family so much and it is amazing to see how much they have grown in the gospel in such a little bit of time. Their dad is also taking the lesson and is getting ready to be baptized also. The kid Anton we are teaching is awesome and his progressing towards baptism also.  I got this see the L family this weekend and it was nice to see familiar faces. WOW ALISON is so  much taller than last time...
