A New Baby

Image
This week has been A lot of things happening all at once but today has been a day of rest. This  is my baby Sister D, she is from Mesquite Texas . I am excited to train her but also very nervous. I am nervous because she's the first person I am training and I just got done with training last week it's really weird for me but I love her. We have a lot of things in common which is really nice. I am feeling so  blessed lately, The R Family that my old companion and I were teaching they all want to be baptized on the same day. Which is awesome, I love their family so much and it is amazing to see how much they have grown in the gospel in such a little bit of time. Their dad is also taking the lesson and is getting ready to be baptized also. The kid Anton we are teaching is awesome and his progressing towards baptism also.  I got this see the L family this weekend and it was nice to see familiar faces. WOW ALISON is so  much taller than last time...

In the visitor center you give lot of tours to people. We meet so many people, most of those people you meet , those are their first interactions they have with the church.  We sow a lot of seeds and it is hard to see the results of it. But this week there have been a lot of joyful miracles happening. It all started one late evening around 8:45pm.  A girl named Jordan who had recently moved to St.George walked into the visitor center with her friend who is a recent convert. We were able to give them a tour. Her friend Jordan had a lot of questions.   My companion and I gave them a tour in the visitor center. She had a lot of questions about the church and we answered her questions.  We taught her about the basic beliefs of the church and later asked her if she wanted to meet with the missionaries and she said yes.  She was golden and we love her. It is amazing to see how the gospel changes people. She got baptised this week, it was an ama...

What a glorious week

To begin with This week has been pretty interesting. At the Beginning of the week we were told that for our Zone conference we each had to prepare 5 minutes. Man I was so nervous for the first two days, The second day after i wrote my talk, I learned that confidence is " Key". I prepared a wonderful 5 minutes talk for zone conference and I didn't get picked to give it but my companion got picked. I was happy she got picked, not because I knew they would not pick me but because she did an amazing Job. She killed it. Our Zone conference was very empowering we got a good talk from Elder Pearson of the 70's and Elder Parrelle and their wives. I remember they said that going up there when asked to speak and winging  it is not being let by the spirit. I remember those days. The most interesting part of our conference was that   our mission president had to pick a couple of missionaries to be interviewed by them and my companion and I were picked. I got i...

This week was one of those weeks that made me really tired. I don't know why but I felt exhausted half way through the day but missionary work is so much fun and it is by the grace of God that I can make it through the days with strength and energy.  It is still really hot here and although I have been here for a little while I am still not use to it or liking it. I am praying hopefully in the next three weeks it gets beautiful and fall starts, but you never know its St. George. We also have been having a couple of lightning and rain storms this week. Which is awesome but it is a little bit scary. I went on exchanges in a different area and it was interesting to leave my area for a day but it was fun. This week we had district meeting and my companion and I gave a training. I don't really know what else to say so I am just going to write things that come up to my mind.  The visitor center is awesome this week. I gave a lot of tours in french and met...

This week has being fast, I don't know what to say but a lot of things happened that are pretty neat. St George is pretty Hot and we had rain once this week and it was an answer to my prayer. It's really hot but My companion is so funny and we are having a lot of fun finding and teaching people I am so grateful to have the temple right in front of our apartment where we live. When we wake up in the morning sometimes we run around the temple and we get to go to the temple 4 times a year. My mission is the best. Another cool thing is I went to the St. George temple this morning and it was very beautiful and peaceful. It was started in 1871 and finished in 1877. It was started after the Salt Lake City temple but it was finish before and its beauty is timeless. I loved it and I can't wait for the opportunity to go again next quarter.  Also  we were out tracting and we knocked on this one door and the man opened the door and said "Jehovah witnesses...
